Behind Closed Doors

Hey loves!

I have recently read a book that gave me goose bumps with each chapter I read and I just had to share it with you all! B.A. Paris' Behind Closed Doors* is a true masterpiece that makes you wonder about what is going on until the final page. I found it hard to come up with a good summary, so let me start with the text on the book's back:

Everyone knows a couple like Jack and Grace.

He has looks and wealth, she has charm and elegance.

You might not want to like them, but you do.

You'd like to get to know Grace better.

But it's difficult.

Because you realise they are never apart.

Some might call this true love.

Others might ask why Grace never answers the phone.

Or can't meet for lunch, without Jack.

And why there are bars on one of the bedroom windows.

Sometimes the perfect marriage is the perfect lie.

I remember first reading through this blurb on amazon when checking out the book and I was immediately hooked. I would like to say thank you to one of my readers who recommended this book to me - thank you so much for the recommendation! I immediately ordered it and started reading it as soon as it arrived. The book was definitely no disappointment. Every chapter provides new information and you try to figure out what is going on while reading it. At the start, there is just something off, but it is hard to put your finger on what exactly is wrong. Then, chapter after chapter, secrets are revealed, and you just end up clinging to the hope that the characters you have come to love will get out of this alright.

I loved this book a lot because it made me fear for the characters, think of different theories, and turn every page with anticipation. If you would like to read a book that is going to make you stay up at night reading because you cannot wait to find out what will happen next, this is the one! Please note that this book contains some quite heavy content and I would not recommend it to very young readers.

If you have a book recommendation for me, please let me know!

Lots of Love,

Elena
