Final Week

Hey loves!

It's my final week at Stanford! To be honest, it does not feel like more than seven weeks have already passed. Time has passed incredibly fast and I am very grateful for having had the opportunity to attend this program. It has been a great summer and despite studying, it was a lot of fun. I have met so many amazing people and I will miss them when I'm leaving Stanford.

This week is not only our last week at Stanford but also the week of our final exams. I will take my final exam in my introductory international relations class on Saturday evening and I will have to hand in my final paper in my "Genocide and Humanitarian Intervention" class on Saturday afternoon. Today, I attended my last two classes and now it is time to focus on studying and finishing all my assignments.

At the same time, I am also trying to spend some time with all the friends I have made at Stanford. I have attached photos of my roommate, Kennedy, and one of my friends, Hayne, to this article. We just went around campus to take a few pictures to remember our time together. I hope to see them again one day and we will definitely stay in touch after the end of this program.

But I am also looking forward to going back to Hong Kong. LPCUWC is going to be a different place this school year with our new first years, but I am sure that it will be a good one! We second years have already set up Facebook groups, etc for our first years and our teachers have also gotten in touch with us again. After not having seen any of my coyears for three months, I am looking forward to hugging them again. I will be leaving for Hong Kong on Sunday night, but thanks to the fifteen hours time difference between California and Hong Kong, I will arrive in Hong Kong on Tuesday.

By the way, if you are thinking of applying to UWC and reading this blog thinking about whether you should apply or not - apply! Even if you think that you have no chance of getting in, you have nothing to lose by applying. If UWC is still on your mind, you should give it a try so you will not ask yourself in ten years why you did not take the chance when it presented itself. And if you are one of my future first years reading this: I cannot wait to meet you! I have heard from a few that they are reading my blog - please feel free to send me a message. I would love to hear from all of you!

Lots of Love,

P.S. I have added a few pictures of Memorial Church - one of the most impressive buildings on campus.

Photos showing me were taken by Hayne P. and Kennedy V.
