About Last Summer
Hey loves!
Stanford Summer Session recently uploaded this video in which some of my peers and I shared some of our thoughts on our summer experience at Stanford! My summer at Stanford was one of the best experiences of my life and I definitely enjoyed being there and getting a college experience.
The applications for Stanford's summer session are open now and you can find more information about the program here. I would highly encourage everyone to give it a shot and try to get in. There is also a limited amount of financial aid available if you cannot meet all of the costs associated with the program.
For me, going to Stanford was an incredible experience because I got to meet some of the most amazing people and I learned so much in only two months. My classes ("Introduction to International Relations" and "Genocide and Humanitarian Intervention") were academically challenging but they were worth every minute of work I put into them. Learning about these things that were so new to me was more than interesting and I am grateful for all the support I received from my professors and peers.
I was quite worried about my English skills when applying because English is not my first language and I did not know whether I would be able to write a good college paper in English. But the Writing Tutors helped me a lot and I think that going there also helped me to improve my academic writing skills in general.
If you are looking for a summer that will challenge you, let you meet amazing people, and laugh under the Californian sun, apply now!
If you have any questions regarding the application process or my experiences at Stanford, please do not hesitate to contact me!
Lots of Love,
Elena
