All Pink Everything

Hey loves!

My new term will start tomorrow and I am very excited to start this new section of my Cambridge experience but it is also crazy how fast my first term flew by. Our terms are very short (eight weeks), but they are also very intense and we work very hard during these weeks. I cannot believe how close I have gotten to the people in my course over such a short period of time but I am super grateful for these friendships!

As I told you guys in my previous post, my college hosted mock exams before the beginning of term (which was honestly quite scary...), so I started my term with an exam. Although the prospect of the exam impacted my holiday, I think the exam was very useful for us because it gave us all a sense of what our real exams would be like.

The past days have also been filled with suspense and uncertainty over Brexit and my friends and I have been following the news on it over the past few days. As an EU student in the UK, what worries me the most is the uncertainty that comes with the absence of a clear statement of what the future arrangement will be. I still do not know whether I will need a visa soon or whether I will be able to easily remain in the UK. It is honestly quite scary to see such a lack of clarity at this point in time and many of my fellow EU students have expressed the same feeling. I am sure that this is a topic that will accompany me through my second term and I really hope that we will soon have more certainty on the matter!
